Introduction:
We GEHM supply a complete product line of cemented carbide index-able insert blanks from ISO/ANSI standard insert blanks to customized insert blanks. Talking about the high feed milling insert blanks, in most cases these product line are bespoken to customer’s drawing. Customer can also send us the finish insert design and we can send blanks drawing for confirmation. Normally, customer will grind the bottom surface from our sintered milling tool blanks, hone and then coating. But sometimes to reach higher precision, such as G or H class inserts, customer will grind the periphery as well.

Before use, all insert blanks need to be ground, ER and then coated for the best performance. The insert we are supplying are just the substrate. Toolmaker will make the post treatment. Following is a process chart for example.
