Established in early 2011 as carbide cutting tool blanks and wear parts business unit of Xiamen Tungsten Company (XTC group), Jiujiang Golden Egret Hard Material (GEHM) specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of tungsten related powder, cutting tool blanks & wear parts including Carbide strips / flat for woodworking and metal cutting. GEHM manufacture a wide range of high quality carbide strips with best service. With dozens of press and sinter machines, monthly capacity of tungsten carbide strips is 7,000KG, about 200,000pieces.

GEHM manufacture and stock following standard cemented carbide strips.

● Carbide flat blank 154L (in 154mm length, customized width and thickness).

● Carbide flat blank 200L (in 200mm length, customized width and thickness).

● Carbide flat blank 330L (in 330mm length, customized width and thickness).

● Carbide flats with/without angles for woodworking industry.

Special carbide flats can be made to your drawing as well.

Grade Recommendation:

● GU20, GK05, GK30H.

● GU20 is the first choice in most cases. It can be used to turn or mill for almost all the materials. GK05 is used for turning and milling of cast iron, non-ferrous metals. etc.

● GK30H is mainly for woodworking process, high toughness and very economical grade.

● GEHM also has GU10UF, GU20F, and GU25UF ultra-fine grain size RTP for high hardness steel cutting, machining etc.

Q7: What can carbide strip do, and in what fields mostly?

A: The tungsten carbide strips blank can be used in following area and but limited to:

● In agricultural, many farmers order different types of carbide flats from GEHM. They will grind and solder the hard carbide flats on the plough head to replace normal steel plough heads. The new plough heads equipped with sharp carbide flat heads are much more durable than steel heads. Customers can save cost and improve the production efficiency.

● In carpentry, many carpenter and timber mill use tungsten carbide strips 310mm or 330mm to make planer tools or plane cutters. Carbide cutters are harder, sharper and long life time than HSS and Steel ones.

● Customer can also select the carbide strips for medical and other use.
